Dynavox TC-5B Phono Preamplifier

The TC-5B has a simple but effective controls. There is a gain switch to select the appropriate input level for the turntable, and a bass boost switch to enhance the low frequencies. There is also a ground lift switch to help reduce hum.

One of the unique features of the TC-5B is that it offers the option of switching between power supply via mains adapter and power supply via battery operation (9V block). This can make a big difference in the sound, depending on the turntable or the setup of the system. A standard alkaline 9V battery (not included) is sufficient for about 40 hours of music enjoyment.
