The PL14WJ09-08 is a 5-inch mid-woofer speaker driver that was manufactured by Vifa (now Scanspeak). It was discontinued in 2012, but it is still a popular choice for DIY speakers due to its smooth sound and extended bass response.

The PL14WJ09-08 has a number of features that make it a good choice for mid-range applications. It has a NRSC coated paper cone with a wide profile low rubber surround.
