Generally speaking, the difference between our audio cables and our speaker wires is that the speaker wire category contains cables (without connectors) for connecting the speakers to the amplifier/receiver. In contrast, our audio cables category contains cables (with different connector types) for connecting the amplifier/receiver to the source.

Moreover, in our audio cables category, you can choose speakers cables with over ten different types of connectors from our quality brands Audioquest, Monacor and QED!

What is the difference between a digital and an analogue connection?

Since the debut of digital music over three decades ago, the battle between digital and analogue connections has stayed. Analogue cables convey data by electrical streams, whereas digital cables transfer data through a series of 1s and 0s.

Audiophiles favour analogue for the same reason that vinyl is still so popular: audio purity. The use of analogue devices with analogue connections is "natural." The digital format, on the other hand, is more widely used and accessible. It may not be as "natural," but it can very closely resemble "naturalness." In reality, neither one is superior to the other. The decision between digital and analogue is based on personal preference.

With which cable do I connect a digital device to an analogue device (e.g., stereo speakers to TV)?

Unfortunately, this cable has not been invented (yet). To connect your analogue speakers to your TV, you need a so-called DAC module unless both your analogue speakers and TV are equipped with RCA connectors/terminals. Another solution would be an amplifier which you place between your TV and your analogue speakers.
