Transforming dead earbuds into powerful wireless speakers!
On April 30th, DIYPerks (a YouTube channel with 2.98M subscribers) and SoundImports collaborated to publish the video "Transforming dead earbuds into POWERFUL wireless speakers". Matthew used the Tectonic Elements TEBM35C10-4 BMR and the Tang Band PR08-A bundle we sent him. We are mentioned at the minute 3:24! You can also get the crossover components in our webshop (resistor and capacitor) that are used in this build to separate the high and low frequencies. We offer basic quality components, but if you prefer (as an audio lover) a higher-grade set of components, you can also choose the resistors or capacitors from well-known brands like Jantzen, Dayton Audio, Mundorf or ClarityCap.
Speaker drivers used in this project:
The Tectonic Elements TEBM35C10-4 BMR 2" full-range is an audio drive unit with an extended frequency response and extremely wide directivity. By combining the benefits of bending-wave technology and pistonic modes of operation, Tectonic Element's TEBM35C10-4 BMR 2" full-range delivers extended frequency response and extremely wide directivity. The small form factor is ideally suited for compact products that require a full-range drive unit, room-filling sound and a high-performance acoustic solution. The small size, extended response, and low cost also make the TEBM35C10-4 an excellent choice for use in higher output line array designs. This unique driver can be used for anything from small handheld speakers, toys, and displays to larger TV speaker bars, Wi-Fi speaker systems, and even compact sound reinforcement systems.
Tang Band's 2" Subwoofer bundle includes the W2-2040S and the PR08. The 2" W2-2040 RBM micro subwoofer is designed with two cones and two surrounds to offer high-fidelity low-frequency reproduction to almost any application. Tang Band designed their revolutionary RBM (Real Balanced Mode) flat subwoofers for ultra-linear operation while remaining as thin as possible. The secret to their low distortion performance is in the patented symmetrical suspension system.
