Copperhead Desktop Full-Range Speaker Kit with Cabinet | Pair

For anyone looking for audiophile quality sound for their desk or office, the Copperhead full-range speaker kit is sure to please. Using Dayton Audio's extremely popular PS95-8 3-1/2" point source full-range driver in a unique enclosure, this speaker design will deliver natural response, pinpoint imaging, and a remarkably wide sound stage. The easy to assemble filter design makes this kit perfect for first time builders that may find more complex crossover networks a little intimidating. Designed in-house by Dayton Audio engineers the Copperheads were created specifically for use on a desktop to produce amazing sound without taking up a ton of space.

Each Copperhead uses a single Dayton Audio PS95-8 3-1/2" full-range driver to cover the entire audio spectrum. This popular driver features a lightweight, curved-profile paper cone made of 100% natural fibers, for a dynamic and articulate sound that extends from a punchy, detailed bass to the highest treble. The compact 3-1/2" size enables a balance of great sonic performance and wide dispersion. Its copper-anodized aluminum phase plug is more than just beautiful - it provides enhanced dispersion and eliminates the resonance from a conventional dust cap. In addition, the optimized, high-strength ferrite magnet structure features a copper pole cap that reduces resolution-sapping inductance and lowers distortion. Dayton Audio's smallest Point Source series full-range driver isn't small on engineering, or performance.

The locally sourced 1/2" MDF enclosure panels are all CNC milled for tight tolerances ensuring easy enclosure assembly. Their unique design will optimize the performance of the PS95-8 while taking up minimal space. With an angled front baffle, the Copperheads provide an on-axis response when placed on a desktop to ensure the even the highest frequencies reach your ears. The bottom port design allows you to position the enclosures almost anywhere without having a major effect on the low-frequency response, even right against a wall. The rabbeted and dadoed panels make assemble easy, requiring only a few small clamps for a perfect fit.

Note: The Copperhead Speaker Kit comes with everything required to assemble a pair of speakers. Including drivers, pre-cut enclosures, notch filter components, binding posts, screws, and wire.
