Dayton Audio NHP25Ti-4 1" Titanium Dome High Power Neodymium Tweeter 4 Ohm

Dayton Audio's versatile NHP25Ti-4 is a 1" titanium-dome tweeter that offers the performance of more expensive tweeters in a compact and stylish package. The small yet powerful high temperature neodymium motor with attached aluminum heatsink and Ferrofluid-filled magnetic gap reduces power compression and improves long-term power handling. In addition, the carefully designed titanium diaphragm provides accurate treble response to over 20 kHz, excellent off-axis dispersion, and superb sonic detail.

The NHP25Ti-4 includes a 2.5" cast aluminum faceplate

Hij blijkt geschikt om de tweeters van een Monitor Audio S1 uit 1997 mee te vervangen na veel modellen daarvoor uitgeprobeerd te hebben!

Prima Tweeters, ik heb ze in de bekende nearfield monitors KRK Rokit 5 gebouwd en kon de versterkers daarvoor (-1dB, 0dB, +1dB) op dezelfde stand laten staan als bij de originele tweeters ! Helaas moest ik wat prutsen omdat de vier bevestigingsgaten niet passen met de drie van KRK Rokit 5. Met het eindresultaat ben ik echter zeer tevreden. Met de prijs trouwens ook....

This tweeter was measered in Hobby Hi-Fi 1/2020 as excellent for price/ quality and will be applied in a box in juin 2020.

This is a very smooth sounding tweeter. "Laid back" best describes the sound. Build quality is very good. My only criticism is that it is very fragile and there is no protection, and it is very easy to damage the dome (which I managed to do!), so I now have a small mark on one of the units. Next time I will go for the ND25TA-4 as this has a protective mesh covering the dome.
