Dayton Audio DCS165-4 6-1/2" Classic Subwoofer 4 Ohm

Dayton Audio's rugged DCS165-4 6-1/2" subwoofer has all of the performance-enhancing attributes you would expect from a larger high-output subwoofer. With a vented pole piece and 4 ohm, 4-layer voice coil, this driver can handle up 100 watt RMS. The non-pressed paper cone is reinforced with Kevlar to increase stiffness, which promotes linear travel through the limits of its excursion. In addition, the pole piece includes a copper cap that keeps inductance to a minimum. The DCS165-4 driver is ideal for use in small multimedia speakers, portable speakers, or even automotive systems where space is at a minimum.

Powerful small woofer! I've bought three of those to put in two different designs. The TS parameters makes them suitable for a range of different enclosures and they can play very deep (but not very loud) in the right enclosures.

One of my favourite small subwoofers! Small enclosure, low tuning, nice above 60hz as well. Just make sure the air vent area is big enough - avoid chuffing!

An sich ein gutes, kleines Chassis für kleine Bassreflexgehäuse. Jedoch bietet ein Mitbewerber ein nicht einmal halb so teures Chassis an, das genau so gut performt (auch messtechnisch) und dazu besser verarbeitet ist.

Lots of thump from this tiny speaker. Being used to using larger drivers I was sceptical a smaller driver could deliver the performance I was looking for in a portable speaker, I was wrong. This driver plays big and strong down to 40 hz in a 10 liter box. That’s why this is such a good driver for portable projects or very small subwoofers, it doesn’t need a huge box to play big.
