The UcD400HG HxR amplifier module is an entry level high-end class D amplifier, with HxR upgrade from Hypex. This amplifier is known for its high performance, reliability and ease of use. The UcD400HG HxR comes with the required UcD Signal Cable.

Hypex UcD400HG HxR 1x400W Universal Class D Amplifier Module

The UcD400HG HxR amplifier is intended for a wide range of audio applications, ranging from Public Address systems to ultrahigh-fidelity replay systems for studio and home use. Hypex distinguishes their amplifiers from other class D designs due a unique circuit topology. This results in flat frequency response irrespective of load impedance, nearly frequency-independent distortion behavior and very low radiated and conducted EMI.

The Hypex UcD modules have established themselves as the new standard, both in terms of measured and subjective performance and therefore very suitable as amplifier in professional audio as well in consumer purposes.

I built a 3 channel amp with 3 of these and 3 x SMPS400A400 modules. Great clean sound, lots of detail in the the upper midrange. Only downside is the case gets very hot, almost too hot to touch. I have decent sized heat sinks on the back of each and mounted in a decent sized aluminium case with ventilation. They have not shut down yet which is what they will do if the temp is too high but I wish I could get them cooler as it currently gets ho...

Goede kwaliteit inclusief de kabels en hun afscherming. Dit model heeft niet alleen maar koelribben nodig om af te koelen. De PCB en de COIL hebben ook koeling nodig. Gebruik hiervoor ventilatoren met laag toerental, en het liefst meer dan eentje. Hoe meer Fan's, hoe lager het toerental voor dezelfde AIRFLOW. Het is een kleine uitvoering, en dat is dus waarom de warmte meer geconcentreerd is op een kleiner oppervlak.

Prima product, echter het wordt nogal warm. (en dan bedoel ik niet het aluminium blok). Ik heb i.v.m. de lage behuizing een ventilator geplaatst.
