The 1200AS2 combines a single stage PFC converter with a 2x 1200 W high performance, ICEedge based class D amplifier. Besides extreme audio performance and power it also features monitor outputs for amplifier temperature, voltage and current output.The DC hanger bus can be used for powering additional amplifiers. Perfect for professional dual subwoofers, 2-way and 3-way speakers as well as high end consumer active speakers or high-end stereo amplifiers.

ICEpower 1200AS2 Amplifier Module with Integrated Universal Mains Power Supply

The ICEpower 1200AS2 combines two high-performance 1200 watt ICEedge based class D amplifier channels with an integrated mains power supply. Besides being the most powerful integrated solution, this is also the most convenient solution for two channels of extreme audio power and performance in the amplifier module category.

The DC hanger bus is suitable for powering the 400A2 amplifier modules. Perfect for professional subwoofers, 2-way and 2.1 speakers as well as high-end consumer products such as subwoofers or monoblock power amplifiers.

The ICEpower 1200AS family uses a universal mains ErP and Energy Star compliant power supply and provides comprehensive protection and monitoring functions. All are accessible through an easy-to-use control interface. Additionally, dedicated monitor outputs for speaker connector output voltage and current enable real-time protection system of the loudspeaker. The integrated aluminium base plate on the 1200AS acts as both a cooling and mechanical interface. This enables easy mechanical integration and extra cooling can be added. This ICEpower 1200AS2 is a two-channel module. Check out the ICEpower 1200AS1 for a single-channel module.

Cable set

The included cable set gives access to all the functions of the 1200AS2 module. The leads are left unterminated so that it is possible to terminate the wires with the connections of your choice.

The amp works great , its super quiet except for an acoustic buzzing sound emanating from the smps transformer. To be fair I am running it directly on a heat sink with no case so noise may be inaudible if its in a case. I ended up covering the transformer in pyrolytic graphite which conducts any heat to the heat sink and then covering the transformer in sound dampening material. It works fine this way but I shouldn't have to do that.

Very very powerful Class-D amp with superb sound quality. Cable set is a bonus if you are planning to build it in a bare case. I used TCR1200 DIY Kit from https://www.tcrastrs.com/, which comes with all cableset and a fan. Assembling took only 10 minutes. Driving Klipsch towers with ease. Note: A tube pre-amp with Bass and Treble control pairs best with this Class-D so that the overall sound will be warmer.

Echt een top versterker, tannoy's klinken stukken beter. Detail in het geluid strakke bas, open midden en hoog. Gebruik nu nog Bluesound Node 130 als voorversterker. Verder heb ik de behuizing van TC Rastrs (TCR1200 DIY kit), Ice-power board 1200AS2 plaatsen stekkers erin en klaar. Guntars Smits heeft meerdere informatieve youtube filmpjes om je verder op weg te helpen.

Phenomenal amplifier. Much better than the Belcanto monoblock amps. It creates a huge soundstage full of details. Completely black background. Excellent instrumental separation. It's a joy to listen to :) PS1: if this amplifier does not sound good enough for someone, the fault is somewhere else (speakers, cables, preamp, dac, ...) PS2: the amplifier hums slightly (not through the speakers!)

30 minutes since plugging in using Raspberry Pi 4 B streamer to Allo Piano 1.1 DAC to ICEpower 1200AS2 - Spotify premium. Speakers Mission LX-2 MKII Bookshelf Speakers. My opinion, The module does not sound like Class D, Mids and Lows are Thick and authoritative (nor dry). However, Treble seemed to have a lot of roll-off, missing air and sparkle. to my ears sounds more 2D than 3D even on tracks from Yosi Horikawa (bubbles). The resolution is goo...
