Jantzen Audio 000-5117 | 1,0 mH | 0,10 Ω | 3% | 15 AWG | Iron Core Coil With Disks
Extremely low DCR which does not alter driver damping factor and add to loss of efficiency. The non-ferrite core/disc material provides significant lower hysteresis compared to coils with ferrite cores, at the same time delivering higher power handling. Generally only recommended for bass & mid-section on crossover. Power handling capability is determined by core/disc size and wire thickness.
All Jantzen Audio inductors, both wire and foil based are made with copper that is in accordance with ETP (Electrolytic-Tough-Pitch) C11000 and an IACS certification of a minimum of 100% conductivity. C11000 copper has a guaranteed purity of 99.9% or higher. The copper purity will often be higher, but 99.9% is the margin which our suppliers of copper wire and copper foil will guarantee as a minimum. The oxygen content of ETP C11000 certified copper is between 0.02 and 0.04%.
