The Amber Z-Cap is a testament to Jantzen Audio's commitment to innovation, utilizing ultra-thin polypropylene film as dielectric insulation, which significantly reduces the memory effect common in lesser capacitors. Its construction demonstrates an extraordinary attention to detail, including a four-layer round tubular type axial leads and a winding of pure solid copper foil spliced to the insulation film. The low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and self-inductance, measured at 0nH, contribute to an exceptionally clear and detailed sound profile. Encased in a bronze plastic tape wrapped in a copper-colored anodized aluminum tube, the capacitor is as durable as it is high-performing.
