Lepai LP40PA 40W Mini Plate Amplifier Bluetooth Aux 3.5mm Input and Control Panel

The Lepai LP40PA mini plate amplifier and control panel is a versatile package that makes it easy to turn any speaker pair into an active speaker system with Bluetooth capability, eliminating the need for a separate amplifier. Simply mount the amplifier and control panel in the right speaker, then connect your other speaker to the left output and that's it….quick and easy powered speaker system.

The LP40PA consists of two main parts, the plate amplifier and the control panel. The plate amplifier mounts into a 7cm x 4.5cm hole and includes output leads you attach internally to the crossover or driver of your right (master) speaker. A 6.6cm x 2.01cm hole is needed to install the 4-button control panel, which gives you the ability to select between Bluetooth and 3.5 mm inputs and adjust volume up and down. In addition, when in Bluetooth mode the control panel allows you to skip track forward and back along with play and pause.

Pros: - very easy to integrate - good sounding - very low power draw with included PSU (1W BT/not connected, 0,7W BT/connected, 1,7W analog idle, 0,5W analog mute, ...

It really is a great and versatile little amp. For it's output it sounds a lot bigger than it is. This was put in a self built set of bookshelf speakers with HiVi B4N woofers and Dayton DSN25F 1" tweeter in a 9L sealed enclosure and the result is great. A little odd that they rate it at 2 x 20W but then only supply an 18V 2A (36W max) power supply. I am tempted to try a 15V 3A power supply instead. Overall, easy to fit. Easy to ope...

Prima versterker, ben er erg blij mee. Gebruik hem met twee Peerless TC9FD18-08 in combinatie met een SMSL DAC, en dat klinkt fijn en kan erg luid. De Bluetooth verbinding gebruik ik zelf niet, maar ik heb het wel even geprobeerd en het werkt erg goed.

Doet wat hij belooft met twee aanmerkingen: 1. Bluetooth verbonden = hard geluid ter bevestiging. 2. Bluetooth verbinden: duurt lang, gaat zeker eerste keer, paar keer mis.

It works perfectly!! Bluetooth almost without delay (just a few milliseconds when watching a video, but neglectable). I just wish it wold have two RCA in as AUX, and not a Jack, but wel... I'm only giving 4 stars because mine came with one of the blue cables for the controller detached and I had to repair myself.
