Some time ago I bought a set of Markaudio Alpair-5 gen2.
They sound pretty good, but they have a problem with certain frequencies, such as high violin, and piano tones when they hit these particular tones, one can hear the membranes resonate with an almost metallic humm.
They sound good, but they only get 3 stars.
For the price and M Audio's reputation taken into account, one would expect better handling of the highs.
All in all, an ok unit...

All in all, an ok unit, I've cut mine off at 150 hz. and using a "Tang Band W5-1138SMF 5-1 / 4" to handle the bass and it seems to work fine.
(had this been a review of Tang Bang units, 5 stars)
