Introducing the world’s smallest Dirac Live® hardware processor: the miniDSP DDRC-24 DSP.
Dirac Live®, the world’s premier room correction solution, is now available in an unbelievably compact hardware unit. Powered by a 400 MHz Analog Devices SHARC processor, the DDRC-24 retains the 4-channel output of its sister unit, the miniDSP 2x4 HD, in order to allow applications like subwoofer integration or even 2-way loudspeakers together with Dirac Live® room correction in a single tiny hardware platform. The matrix mixer and crossover functionality is accessed and programmed with miniDSP’s easy-to-use interface software. An all in one unit with USB DAC + Dirac Live Room Correction + Speaker processing.
The miniDSP DDRC-24 digital audio processor will find application in full-sized hifi and home theater systems, on desktops, in cars, in recording studios anywhere a compact, powerful room correction processor is needed.
MiniDSP DDRC-24 Digital Signal Processor
The onboard 400 MHz Analog Devices SHARC processor enables substantial processing upgrades previously available only on more expensive platforms. One example is 96 kHz internal processing for true high-resolution audio capability and assignable FIR filter taps for sophisticated equalization, crossover, and room correction capabilities. All to be accessed and programmed with miniDSP’s easy-to-use interface software. The SHARC processor can perform fixed-point as well as floating-point calculations. This makes the miniDSP DDRC-24 perfect for for a wide range of applications.
With the addition of USB audio streaming up to 192 kHz and a TOSLINK digital input, the miniDSP DDRC-24 will find application in many ways. Full-sized hifi and home theater systems, on desktops, in cars, in recording studios — anywhere a compact, simple, yet surprisingly powerful DSP audio processor is needed.
Unfortunately it's not possible as per T&C of Dirac Research to transfer a license from one product to another as the licensing works on a per product basis. The license is tied to the hardware it was activated for. For this reason, you will need to purchase a unique license for each product.
Yes. Sample rates higher than 48 kHz will be down-converted at the input to the DDRC-24, but many customers report that the gains from Dirac Live far outweigh any potential loss due to the sample rate. If you need a higher internal sample rate, please see our higher-end SHD Series processors.
