        Morel MW144 Shallow Classic Series 5" Woofer 8 Ohms

         

        The Morel MW144 is a 5-inch midwoofer with a rigid pressed steel chassis, a damped polymer cone, a 75mm Hexatech voice coil, and a dual magnet system. Its high Qts of 0.55 makes it well-suited for sealed enclosures, and when optimized, it delivers a smooth, full bass response. The MW144 was very popular with DIY builders in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

         

        At only 65mm deep, MW144 5" has been optimized for use in the smallest enclosures. With a shallow profile Damped Polymer Cone this driver will provide smooth response both on and off axis for natural, room filling response. The huge 3" Hexatech™ voice coil has extensive venting in the former, frame, and magnet to ensure high power handling and low power compression. The MW144 is the perfect woofer for use in extremely compact 2-way speaker designs.
