SB Acoustics SB26ADC-C000-4 Aluminum Dome Tweeter

The dome and surround have been designed to push the "break-up" to frequencies beyond the audible range. This tweeter has all the detail that a metal dome provides without the objectionable break-up.

Waarom zijn we aluminium dometweeters vergeten? Niet dan lof voor dit tweetertje... De backcup is te dun, plak er een stuk loodbitumen op of geef de tweeter een eigen zandgevuld kastje. Gekocht voor wat testjes. Filter m correct af en ze worden onhoorbaar in het beeld. Subjectieve opmerking: Neutrale geluidsindruk. Niet hoog in z'n rendement, vlak als de waddenzee. Na afvlakking vd resonantiepiek, afgefilterd op 1kHz. Dat lukte zowaar... Waa...

I think this is one of the best dome tweeters available overall and most definitely THE best tweeter of it's price group. You can find extensive tests performed by Troels Gravesen of this and couple other SB Acoustics tweeters. I can confirm the distortion figures presented. Currently, I am running this tweeter with -48dB/Oct crossover at 1kHz and it can take it without breaking a sweat. My midrange driver distortion rises long before this driver...
