        • Copper phase plug reduces compression due to temperature variations in the voice coil, increases long term power handling capacity and eliminates resonances in the cavity inside the voice coil former

        The SEAS Excel TPCD W16NX005 is a 6-inch midrange/woofer that is renowned for its excellent performance and sophisticated design. It features a Metamodal TPCD cone made of an advanced composite material that combines lightness, stiffness, and controlled damping, resulting in a smooth, extended frequency response and refined sound reproduction.

         

        This second-generation TPCD material is engineered to deliver a combination of low weight, high stiffness, and controlled damping, ensuring a linear and distortion-free response throughout the mid-bass and midrange frequencies. The injection-molded metal basket provides exceptional rigidity and stability, ensuring that the critical components maintain their alignment under demanding conditions. Large windows in the basket both above and below the spider minimize sound reflection, air flow noise, and cavity resonance, contributing to a cleaner and more refined sound.
