With a bamboo fiber paper cone, structured Santoprene surround, and underhung motor, the W5-2143 5" full range from Tang Band has impressive response from 55 to 20,000 with very low distortion.

Tang Band W5-2143 5" Paper Cone Full Range Driver 8 Ohm

Tang Band's versatile W5-2143 full range driver uses an underhung voice coil, which places the entire coil inside the magnetic gap, for the utmost in control and accuracy. Designed for minimum distortion and resonance, the bamboo fiber paper cone and structured surround produces smooth response without harsh peaks or dips. The aluminum phase plug improves off axis response while also acting as a shorting ring providing greater control of the voice coil resulting in lower distortion.

Very nice driver for the money. Excellent vocal reproduction and overall frequency response. Sensitivy is nice and high so they don't take much driving. Distortion is quite low at around 1.5% peak THD in the low frequencies and much less in the mid-bass all the way to treble. I was expecting these drivers to have quite a hot top-end but to my surprise, they are actually quite flat. I think that may be due to these drivers being very directional a...

The speaker is quite curved in terms of frequency response (the middle bulges out a lot), this of course depends on the case, I used a spherical one. The rest of the parameters are ideal. After equalizing the frequency response in any program or chipboard, everything becomes ideal both by hearsay and in terms of parameters.

very good sound, very clear mids, very low distortion, did test it and measure it in free air and in a bassreflex 20 liter box, logical this is not a boom box speaker but a very nice full range, one of the best i did hear in the 5" range

2 woofers works in one box as mono. Is possible to reach hi dynamic from this converters. flat characteristic correct nothing spectacular, small corrections can bring the deep.
