        The B2202 from Volt Loudspeakers is an 8" bass-midwoofer optimized for studio monitoring systems. It features a critically doped paper cone designed to minimize coloration, ensuring clear and accurate sound reproduction. The symmetrical field magnet system with a long coil enables large linear excursions, which are crucial for handling deep bass frequencies without distortion. This is complemented by double rear suspensions that provide excellent transient stability, even at high drive levels.

         

        The driver operates within a frequency range of 25 to 1000 Hz, making it suitable for a wide range of audio applications. It has a sensitivity of 90 dB/W/m and an AES power handling capacity of 150 watts. The Thiele-Small parameters have been optimized for use in relatively small enclosures, allowing for extended bass performance without requiring large cabinet volumes. The B2202 is available in both 8 ohm and 16 ohm versions, providing flexibility for different system configurations​​.
