does exactly what it's intended to! Makes it possible to have a 40cm X 40cm box and reach an F3 around 35 hz in conjonction with a DS270-PR Passive Radiator. My first DIY audio project and works perfectly. cost me around 120 Euros and found a 200w rms backplate amp that i added for 50 euros. total 170 euros for a rather small and effective Subwoofer and the pleasure of doing it myself.

Mooi gemaakte speaker. Handige rand om zonder frezen te monteren. Gemonteerd in 23 liter kast met 2 inch Precision Port BRpoort. Versterker Mivoc A80 Mk2. Strak laag tot onder de 40 hz, cf. berekening. Geeft mooi en ruim voldoende laag voor muziekweergave in grote woonkamer, vooral extra laag uit contrabas als aanvulling op de 2-weg monitoren is erg plezierig. En dat voor €55,-....

I have this woofer fitted in a sealed box with, it's dual 8 ohm voice coils wired in parallel. It is being driven by a 100 watt class D amplifier. Still working on fine-tuning the box (stuffing the box with a foam (cotton/poly fill) and ensuring that it is completely sealed. However, with some quick testing, crossed over around 100 hz, I'm getting decent mid-range punch. I'm using M-Audio BX5s (powered monitors), and they play pretty loud ...
