Markaudio CHN-50 3" Full-range Woofer

The CHN-50 is a very affordable compact 3-inch full-range driver suitable for use in small near field loudspeakers, as a quality mid-tweeter for low-crossover multi-way designs, and for line array speakers.

Markaudio has built a gentle rise into the low and high-frequency response, as seen in some of their premium drive units, to enhance positioning flexibility. The sound presentation is forgiving, without glare, and the Thiele / Small parameters, with a generous 3.5mm (1-way) Xmax, are balanced for ease of use.

The low-mass voice coil, suspension, and shallow profile magnesium alloy cone are unique to the CHN 50. The pressed steel frame is designed to be very open and allow airflow to be as free as possible to the rear of the cone. Response extends from resonance to beyond 20KHz, and the impedance rise at higher frequencies is only modest, due to the careful motor design.

Good and clear sound, lacks bass but it's to be expected from a 3" full-range. I've these as a pair of ported desktop speakers with a used 10 euro woofer/subwoofer which complements the speakers wonderfully. I don't use any crossover for these. I've used these almost daily for about 4 months now and I'm very satisfied with the speakers. Would recommend.

In front-ported behuizing gedaan die Markaudio heeft (bedankt voor het bijsluiten van de links @soundimports). heerlijk voor lichte muziek met goede helderheid en goed detail. Mist wel oomph in de bas voor electronische muziek maar wat verwacht je met zo klein en laag vermogen.

Ik heb de chn-50 gebruikt in klang+ton ontwerp cheaptrick 307. Mooi helder en natuur getrouw geluid. Voor deze toepassing van actieve pc luisprekers is het meer dan voldoende volume. wordt compleet met schroefjes en afdichting geleverd. Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.
