Seas Prestige 27TBFC/G - H1212-06 1'' Aluminum Dome Tweeter

The 27TBFC/G is a High Definition metal dome tweeter with a wide, soft polymer surround and a rear chamber. Aluminum/magnesium alloy diaphragm with pistonic behavior throughout the audible frequency range, resulting in a good dispersion also above 10kHz. A Hexagrid protects the diaphragm and supports a phase plate which compensates for a slight axial roll off towards 20 kHz. Sonomax surround for low resonance and excellent mechanical linearity.

Voice coil windings immersed in magnetic fluid increase short term power handling capacity and reduce the compression at high power levels. Stiff and stable rear chamber with optimal acoustic damping allows the tweeter to be used with moderately low crossover frequencies.

Precision molded chassis from glass fiber reinforced plastic, and its front design offers optimum radiation conditions.

Replaced blown tweeters on my focal 726S‘s with these - needed to do some cabinet remodelling and shave a bit off the plastic surround of the tweeters, but sound is excellent!

I bought a pair of 27TBFC/Gs to replace failed original tweeters in my ageing Meridian M60s. The tweeters are similar to the originals with similar specifications but a thinner faceplate, fewer mounting holes and connection terminals separated on opposite sides of the unit at the rear (the latter necessitating minor cabinet remodelling to make the tweeters fit). Gute Verarbeitung, guter Klang. Gehäuse: Lötfahnen etwas weit außen. Gehäuse ist solide verarbeitet. Klangbild: Etwas spitzer, als der originale Vifa D 25TA 006 aus einer IQ 5180 MK2 und somit als Ersatz bedingt geeignet. Dies war aber zu erwarten.

A set of HF drive units was purchased as part of an upgrade to Audio Physic Tempo loudspeakers. I am delighted with the results and quality which are a significant improvement on the original units, the response is smooth, detailed and articulate and power handling is improved by the use of ferro fluid. My order was handled in a friendly yet professional way, altogether a great post Brexit experience.
