Tang Band T1-1925S Subwoofer Module 2-1/2" x 1-1/8"
Tang Band's T1-1925S features a passive radiator-assisted 1" driver that plays from 150 to 20,000 Hz in a tiny 2.56" by 1.14" package. Design modern speakers never before thought possible.
Tang Band's line of patented speaker modules is designed for modern audio applications such as soundbars, desktop multimedia speakers, flat panel TV speakers, and portable audio systems. Don't let Tang Band's diminutive driver modules fool you; each is built with a passive radiator that extends midbass frequency response, allowing these to mate to a subwoofer system quite easily.
The T1-1925S speaker module is built around a passive radiator assisted, polypropylene composite 1" inverted dome driver. This allows for a very full frequency response from a single, small driver. The advantages of this type of speaker design include the elimination of crossover components in the critical midrange, superb off-axis response due to the use of a small driver (without hot spots), and perfect time-alignment.
Note: Tang Band recommends the use of a 2nd order (-12 dB/octave) 150 Hz high pass filter for the best possible sound. Higher power handling and output are possible by deploying multiple modules together. The T1-1925S is not designed to work with Tang Band's KIT-0041 speaker module mounting kit with an amplifier.
